In her own professional life, she has been shooting environmental and studio portraits of writers, artists and architects for book publishers like Simon & Schuster, Random House, Harper Collins, Penguin Putnam, FSG and magazines like Elle, Vogue, NY Times Magazine, Time and Newsweek. Some of her well known subjects include: Scott Turow, Nadine Gordimer, Gloria Steinem, Paul Auster. She also spent time in her native Berlin and published a pictorial essay, in book form, on contemporary artists in that city. Her frequent trips to Europe and the Caribbean started her on an additional career as a travel photographer. |
